Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Lucy Legal. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your firm.
Professional tool, not legal advice
Lucy Legal is software for licensed lawyers. It does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for a lawyer's professional judgment. You remain the professional of record and are responsible for reviewing all output before relying on it or filing it.
Eligibility
Accounts are for licensed lawyers. We may require verification of your bar credentials, and may suspend accounts that cannot be verified.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for confirming citations against their source, and for complying with your professional and ethical obligations, including conflict checks and confidentiality.
Acceptable use
Do not use Lucy Legal unlawfully, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to breach its security or isolation between matters or firms.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in USD through Stripe. Founding-member discounts, where offered, are applied for the life of the account while it remains in good standing. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, Colopio Innovative Technologies LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, and total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
